Solana rent recovery

Get back the SOL locked in your empty token accounts

Each token you have traded opened an account that holds a small SOL deposit. Close the ones you no longer use and that SOL comes back to your wallet. You review and sign everything yourself.

Connect a wallet to find closable accounts

redeem reads your token accounts straight from Solana. Nothing is shown or stored until you connect.

  • Transactions are built in your browser
  • Your wallet shows every instruction before you sign
  • 2% fee on reclaimed SOL, shown up front

How it works

Three steps, all signed in your wallet

Closing a token account is a standard Solana instruction. redeem finds the accounts, packs the instructions into as few transactions as possible and hands them to your wallet.

  1. Connect your wallet

Use Phantom, Solflare, Backpack or any Wallet Standard wallet. redeem only receives your public address.

  2. Review every account

Each token account is listed with its balance, live USD value and the SOL it holds. Empty accounts are selected for you.

  3. Sign and reclaim

Press Close selected and approve the transaction in your wallet. The rent is back in your balance within seconds.

FAQ

Questions before you connect

Why is there SOL in my token accounts?

Solana keeps each token you hold in its own token account, and opening one locks about 0.002 SOL as a rent deposit. When you sell or move the whole balance, the empty account stays open and the deposit stays locked until the account is closed.

Is it safe to connect my wallet?

redeem never sees your private keys or seed phrase. The page builds each transaction in your browser and your wallet shows it to you before anything is signed. Closing an empty account only sends its rent deposit back to the wallet that owns it.

What does it cost?

A 2% service fee on the SOL each transaction reclaims, plus the normal Solana network fee of a fraction of a cent. Both amounts are shown before you sign and are included in the same transaction.

Can I close accounts that still hold tokens?

Yes, but the remaining tokens are burned first and cannot be recovered. Accounts with a balance are never selected for you, and redeem asks you to confirm the burn before your wallet opens.

Which wallets are supported?

Any Solana wallet that supports the Wallet Standard, including Phantom, Solflare and Backpack in the browser. On Android, wallets that support Mobile Wallet Adapter also work.

Are Token-2022 accounts included?

Yes. Accounts from the original SPL Token program and from Token-2022 are both listed. Accounts that are frozen, controlled by a separate close authority, or holding withheld transfer fees cannot be closed and are marked as locked.

What happens if I receive that token again?

Nothing breaks. Your wallet opens a new token account the next time you receive the token, and that new account takes a fresh rent deposit.
